Fernando founded Vila Nova Partners in March 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience in Executive and Board Search and Assessment including numerous searches for CEOs, CHROs, CFOs and Board Directors, for many of the most prominent Brazilian and multinational companies operating in Brazil, across a wide range of industries.
Before joining Vila Nova Partners, Fernando worked at two multinational Executive Search firms, serving as a Member of the Global Board at one of them.
Prior to his Executive Search career, he was Executive Director at two Brazilian banks and Head of Financial Services and Corporate Finance at an international management consulting firm.
A corporate governance specialist, Fernando has served on several Boards of Directors and Committees in Brazil and abroad. He was also Executive Director at the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban).
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from COPPEAD/UFRJ.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ayrton Senna Institute, the Amanhã Fund (an endowment of the UFRGS School of Business Administration), Confrapar and Escola 42 São Paulo. He is an Ambassador for IE University in Brazil.
He holds a degree in Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. He also studied at the Universities of Heidelberg and Tunis.
Norton is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish and has professional proficiency in German, Italian and French.

Before joining Vila Nova Partners, Fernando worked at two multinational Executive Search firms, serving as a Member of the Global Board at one of them.
Prior to his Executive Search career, he was Executive Director at two Brazilian banks and Head of Financial Services and Corporate Finance at an international management consulting firm.
A corporate governance specialist, Fernando has served on several Boards of Directors and Committees in Brazil and abroad. He was also Executive Director at the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban).
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from COPPEAD/UFRJ.
